A short guide
Privacy Summary for Young Users
This is the short version. The full Privacy Notice has the complete details.
Your account
You must be at least 13. If you are 13–15, your parent or legal guardian must approve the account. If you are 16 or older, you can finish setup yourself. Google login does not skip these checks.
What stays private
Your email, full date of birth, parent email, password/Auth information and private safety reports are not meant to appear on your public profile. Bothlo and its technical providers use them to run and protect your account.
What everyone can see
Your username, avatar, bio, topics, arguments, comments and replies may be public. People outside Bothlo may copy or screenshot them. Do not share your address, school, phone number, password, exact location, private messages or intimate images.
Why Bothlo uses data
To sign you in, publish what you choose, operate debates and Community, count votes/reactions, keep official rankings and streaks, stop bots, review reports, enforce rules and answer you. Bothlo has no ads and does not use your data for advertising profiles.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, delete your own content where the feature allows, block/report people, appeal eligible moderation decisions and request account deletion. Your parent can withdraw consent for an account aged 13–15. Some posts may remain anonymously so replies and safety records still make sense.
Need help?
Talk to a trusted adult and email contact@bothlo.com. You can ask what Bothlo knows about you, correct it, object, restrict use or ask for deletion where the law allows.
